Academic Calendar

The academic year is divided into two semesters: Autumn Semester, 18 weeks and Spring Semester, 22 weeks.

Autumn Semester begins on the first Monday on or after 14th August.
The Inauguration Ceremony is held on the Friday closest to the 1st September

Spring Semester begins on the first Monday on or after 4th January
The Graduation Ceremony is held the Friday closest to the 15th June

Teaching normally takes place between 8:00 and 15:45

New research shows how the interaction between Atlantic salmon and the ISA virus leads to the development and spreading of the influenza-like disease ISA in fish. The new findings may be of interest to research on influenza generally.
